How To Care For Your Product
Marble
Prevention
Because it is absorbent, marble needs special care, it can stain with spillages like liquids or oil, and is sensitive to acids such as citrus juices, vinegar or household cleaning chemicals. You need to take care with things like hairspray, nail polish, perfumes and after shaves which can mark the marble surface.
- Wipe anything that spills on marble immediately
- Use coasters under glasses or bottles.
Care & Cleaning
Marble needs to be handled with care to maintain its appearance. For routine cleaning, sponge marble with warm water, rinse and dry with a soft cloth or a mild neutral detergent available from Premier Marble. Wipe spills promptly, acids in alcohol and fruit juices are particularly damaging. Remove limescale using fine wire wool.
Marble often comes with a protective sealer that helps prevent staining: re-apply coating once a year, also available from Premier Marble or other marble specialists.
Granite
Prevention
Granite is tougher than marble, although more porous. It can handle high heat and temperatures but avoid extremes.
Wipe any spills as soon as possible such as beetroot, red wine, oils, especially on lighter coloured granites.
Care & Cleaning
Clean with warm water, rinse and polish with a chamois leather. Remove limescale or sticky marks with a fine wire wool. A suitable polish may be applied once a month.
Polish is available from Premier Marble or other granite specialists.
Limestone & Sandstone
Prevention

Quartz Worktops
Prevention
Quartz worktops are highly stain and scratch resistant resistant, however we recommend that you always use a chopping board and avoid putting hot pans directly onto the quartz surface.
Quartz will react to some chemicals so avoid household cleaning products, and wipe up any acidic spills (lemon juice, wine, vinegar etc) immediately.
Care & Cleaning
Quartz worktops are generally very easy to clean and maintain, a simple wash with hot soapy water each day should leave your worktops in good condition that will last a lifetime.
For tougher stains use an approved cleaner, and avoid any abraisive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can breakdown the resin in the quartz.
